The Certified AI for Librarians Professional training is a comprehensive, hands-on course designed for librarians, information professionals, knowledge managers, archivists, researchers, educators, and Library and Information Science (LIS) students who want to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform library services and enhance professional productivity. The course covers AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, generative AI tools, AI-assisted cataloguing and metadata creation, reference and information services, literature searching, research support, content creation, data analysis, digital preservation, library automation, ethical and responsible AI, copyright, privacy, and AI policy development. Through practical exercises and real-world case studies, participants will learn how to integrate AI technologies into library operations, research support, digital services, and knowledge management while following ethical and professional best practices. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, recognizing their competency in applying Artificial Intelligence to modern library and information services.

Eligibility Criteria

No programming or AI experience is required. Access to a computer with internet connectivity for practical exercises.
